MESSAGE:

Local forecast for GloucesterMA, Sun3, 1pm-3pm:

Light rain showers begin after Midnight tonight…but the texture / character changes about 9am Sun3, with stronger & more-convective squalls and maybe a few embedded T-strms…activity ends about 5pm Sun3…when WarmFRONT lifts N thru Gloucester and wind subsequently veers S while moderating (about 5pm).

Unfortunately, 1pm-4pm may be the strongest conditions, with wind in compression N of WarmFRONT 110-140@22-27g35, with squalls to about 40k. There may be some gusts to 45k. Wind-chop builds rapidly from what will seem like 6′ seas at Noon to what will seem like 8-9′ seas by 3pm (actual seas will be smaller but so steep they’ll seem that large).

Sun3 morning would be significantly less windy, with conditions generally 110-140@20-25g30 and maybe a few squalls to 35k thru Noon. After Noon conditions deteriorate rapidly.

Mon4 should be benign, from 1pm-3pm: 250<220@10-15, seas 1-3′.
